Air conditioning service in Prague

A unit that no one looks after will not stop cooling overnight. It gradually loses performance and fails during the hottest week of the year.

When is servicing required

Most customers only contact us when the unit no longer cools as it used to, starts dripping or smells musty. These are late signs, by then the unit has already been operating at reduced capacity and higher consumption for some time. A regular inspection is cheaper than an emergency call-out during the hottest week of the year, when queues are longest with all companies in Prague.

What we do during servicing

How often to service the unit

For air conditioning in an apartment or office, once a year is sufficient, ideally in spring before the season starts. Where the unit runs year-round or in dustier environments, twice makes sense. In between visits, you can clean the filters yourself. It takes just a few minutes and will noticeably help the unit.

We also service units that we did not install.

Yes, and it is a standard part of our work. During the first visit we will inspect the condition of the equipment and state clearly whether it makes sense to continue maintaining it or if its service life is nearing an end and replacement would be more cost-effective. The brand does not matter. We work with commonly available systems that are installed in Prague.

When air conditioning stops cooling

Before you call, try two things: clean the filters and leave the unit switched off for an hour to check if the evaporator is frozen. If that does not help, get in touch, in case of faults we aim to arrive as soon as possible, because a non-functioning air conditioner in summer is not something that can wait a week.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should air conditioning be serviced?

In an apartment or office once a year, ideally in spring before the season. Twice a year if operating year-round or in dusty environments.

Do you also service air conditioners installed by other companies?

Yes, routinely. During the first visit we will inspect the condition and advise whether it is worthwhile to continue maintaining the unit.

Water is dripping from the indoor unit: what should I do?

Most commonly, the condensate drain is blocked. Cleaning usually resolves this; if the problem recurs, the drain slope is often incorrect and needs adjustment.

Why does the air conditioner smell?

Deposits on the evaporator. An air freshener will not help; the unit must be dismantled and cleaned, including the condensate tray.

How much does a service cost?

The price depends on the number and type of units and their condition upon our first visit. We will provide a specific quote after inspection, in advance and without obligation.
